That's not good. He's as connected as they come.

"It's going to be hard," Mathis said about the upcoming decision last month. "It's about me, but I've got people who want me to stay at home. I've got to think about what I'm going to do for the next four years. It's not about them, it's about me. It's going to be hard, but I'm going to make the right choice.

"It's not the problem about the pressure, it's about me knowing where I'm going to go." . . .

Not trying to be a debbie downer but it seems like it's going to be Bama

ETA: that was last month when he was Pro-Bama. I know things can change but, my pick is that he commits to the Tide. Bummer.

I don't read anything saying watts was guessing l. I read it's still in the air but it's trending bama at the moment.

On another note the national experts have not change their picks so I'm still going with the tigers

Both sides feel secure, key is to look at unbiased national guys with great pick percentages

Watts isn't your typical homer mod. Not saying it's a done deal because he has been wrong before, but it doesn't make me feel warm and fuzzy haha

The way I look at it, that DT from Ark Kansas who had committed to Bama suddenly didn't have the grades and is going to a JC. This conveniently has become a spot for Mathias!!

Did you not see Shea's new tid bit thread? His explanation of watts pick doesn't sound like concrete evidence

Sounds like if Watts knew he was for sure going to Bammer Shea would flip his crystal ball...so there's still some hope

I haven't followed recruiting that much over the past couple of years...got married, new job, etc.

Seems to be getting worse and worse to follow

Never said he was a homer.

Wiltfong still thinks LSU, last I saw. I'm not going to play the sky is falling bit until I see CB flips.
Wiltfong is over 85%.

I don't know about that; what I read was Shea saying that Mathis is trending to Bama, but neither side was 100% confident yet. To me all signs are pointing to Bama.

Just saw it and shea also said watts is not over confident this morning and had to get his story up so he's just being a homer at this point. He doesn't have any true info.
