2023 recruiting class question - numbers

Will lsu be able to add any amount of HS and transfers to fill the 85 limit? Or is it just 32 scholarships again?

Get to 85. From what I've read prior, about 30 signees are expected and add about 8 transfers.

NCAA lifted the scholarship annual class cap. You still have to abide by the 85 team cap. We can sign as many as we want but who wants 40 freshman... Also if you want to take in a large class you may have to process some folks but that happens every year.

I’m hoping we’ll be more selective with the transfers this year. We absolutely needed depth for this season and now Kelly has a real grasp on what holes we have in the roster. I don’t think Kelly even entertained bringing in kids with borderline grade/character issues but now that his foundation and culture is set maybe there’s a blue chip guy or 2 he’s be willing to take a chance on that can be impact guys.

Banks and short are the 2 transfers that are just bodies
the rest are either good or avg and needed depth
