2021 WR Possibilities

Everyone agrees pretty much that we are taking atleast 4 maybe 5 WR in this class. We will be losing 3-4 WR after this year most likely. We have a talented group of guys still but we need to reload for sure. If we miss on one of the Top guys in the state or someone decommits who do we take? Also, if they decide to take a 5th who would it be?
Projected Finish:
BrianThomas Jr
Chris Hilton
JoJo Earle
Deion Smith
Others:
Destyn Pazon
Michael Sturdivant Jr
Malik Nabers (Possible late DB commit instead of WR)
Keon Coleman
Tyrese Johnson
I didn’t include Emeka or Franklin on the list because it is unlikely to land them. Also didn’t include guys that where committed elsewhere. Romello Brinson was another name I considered adding to the list but I figured we fill with instate guys more than likely at that point. Anyone else you think should be on the list let me know and I’ll add.

Your projected finish would be the bees knees! That seems to be the realistic outcome.

I dont subscribe to theory that you only take 4. This class is one for the ages. Take what you need and redshirt a couple. Some of these other guys would be tops in Louisiana in any other year.
Why not take one or two in 2022 and load up now?

I think you take 5
You wanted 4 last year, ended up with 3.
You moved Lee from WR to LB
There’s a chance you have 2 early nfl draft entrees in Chase & Marshall
Your new offense revolves around the passing attack. Load them up

Losing McMath this year also. I think there may be another Senior we lose this year also.
Who do we take?

Kirklin is a SR too
I think Coleman is the best of the rest.

I'm starting to jump on the bandwagon for 5 WRs. We may need that. Get your projected finish and add one of the instate WRs and I'd be happy.

Sturdivant- HS teammate of your future QB would be good. That connection would already be there.
Coleman is rising fast.
Nabers might make it as a DB

How solid is Deion Smith?

I cant tell you the last time I heard something about him that wasnt listing wrs. I'd assume he's solid but I have no clue.

I wonder how interested Nabors would be in playing DB here when other schools want him as a receiver. He’s supposedly next in line to get a commitable offer out of the in state WR’s if someone defects.

He has tons of in state pressure. Fingers crossed we keep him. Going to be a stud

Says the people at 247. The fact that he can be a DB or WR makes him more valuable than the other guys such as Pazon and Coleman. Those 3 seem to be closely ranked after Thomas and Hilton.

I originally thought 5 because I like to target 10 wide receivers on the roster.
The problem is Coach O said 7 DL this year when we are already 4 deep (on espn1045). When you consider needs at safety, OL, etc, I just don't see how you can get 5 WR in there. The same goes with my initial desire for 5 OL. I just don't see how we fit this all in under a 25 scholarship limit. 3 LB, 5 DB, 7 DL, 4 OL, 1 QB, 1 RB totals 21 which would leave 4 WR. Dang I wanted 6 DB. And we have offers out to "must include" players at QB, RB, and TE that would really put the pressure on the 25 limit.
