Zach is the real deal. Just watch his 2018 highlights on hudl.com then watch his 2017 highlights. His top end speed may not be what Emory’s is, but his runs are more impressive in my opinion. Great patience and vision then hits the hole hard. Great hands as well.

LSU is definitely in the mix but Jimbo has been on the North Shore sideline and Herman is recruiting him real hard.

Another to look for in class of 2020 is 6’7” 330 RT Damieon George.

Look for Shadrach Banks (WR) and Dematrius Davis (QB) in 2021 as well.

Check North Shore out tonight on Fox Sports Southwest at 7:00. Duncanville is also loaded with athletes.

BTW, the 2nd place school in North Shore’s district is up 28-20 on mighty Longview in the 6A D2 state title game.

North Shore beat them 56-7 earlier this year.

I honestly think Herman would get him before Bama did.
Herman’s not really a dominant recruiter. Look at the top players in Texas year. Not to mention Ohio State went into Austin and took the 5* WR.

I watched first 2 plays of his highlight film and he looks a little slow.. love that he’s ranked so high but Emery looks better right off the bat unless I’m missing some recent film

An honest evaluation will always get you downvotes when it's negative. But, I see what you mean. He has excellent agility and acceleration, but he doesn't have elite top end speed. I haven't seen much pure power and breaking man tackles either. Ty and Emery are both more suited for SEC ball than Evans is right now. Or at least by the film I saw. Not sure, that film may have been his soph highlights and there's 2 years left for the kid to grow and get stronger.

In case anyone missed the game tonight, Evans ran 21 times for 96 yards on the night.

Duncanville’s defense was legit this year and it proved tough for Evans tonight, but it was clear that they sold out to slow down the run game.

One thing that stood out to me was his post game interview. He said, and i’m Paraphrasing here, that he was tired of all the hype around him and that it’s about the team. Obviously a mature kid who just wants to win and has a hunger to do so.

North Shore won the game on a last second Hail Mary.

It was by far one of the best games I’ve ever watched.

A few take aways
1. Duncanville frustrated Evans and contained him all night
2. The right tackle for North Shore #74 is a 6’6 320 pound junior with multiple SEC offers.
3. The QB from North Shore is a sophomore and is really good.
4. 19 WR from North Shore is going to be special
5. QB from Duncanville is a junior and is a great athlete.

I agree with you.
I liked both the QB’s in this game. I think Northshore’s QB can pass the ball better. Wouldn’t mind seeing him at LSU
#74 must have had a bad game. He was a little underwhelming last night. But his size is what is getting him looks.
Longview’s QB should be getting some looks in my opinion. He is originally from Louisiana I believe. Springhill area.
#19 WR from Northshore was a polished receiver. He was good.

19 is a bonafide 5 star in this class, let alone 2021.

he is gonna be a big problem in college

I work with George's mother and they are from N.O. and they like LSU but would not like to be back in the area around New Orleans.... so it maybe A&M... just from hearing her talk.

Davis is also from LA too. But if he doesn't get any taller sadly he may be passed over. I think he can play he has nice arm strength that will only get stronger he is a threat to run and gain yards as a dual threat. He has the build to add a good 15 lbs now but he looks to maybe grow a few inches he definitely looks young

Evans is a strider and he eats up yards when he gets going. I would definitely be happy if he chose LSU he is only going to be better coming in and being part of a committee of backs cause this O line is going to be some roadgraders in the next few years

Haven't seen the kid in question so this isn't really about him, but we have to stop worrying about height at QB anymore. Sure it's an asset and we've been taught to think the prototype is 6'4+ 200+ when that's just not the case anymore. The last 2 Heisman winners were under 6'1 with Murray more 5'10ish. These new systems(not that we have one) don't require height. They adjust to the QBs skillset. Even the NFL is flooding with under 6'2 QBs and they are succeeding somewhat. Brees has always been the anomoly(still is based in greatness) but his size isn't that rare anymore.

Evans is described as a generational RB(how many have had that label the past few cycles). Everyone is going balls out for him so there must be something to it. Just don't lose Clayton chasing.

Point taken... I hope he gets a chance but I'm not handing out schollies. He has alot to bring to the table for alot of schools. I'm definitely going to some games next year at northshore to see both of them

From what I saw last night I wouldn’t place Evans in the once in a generation class. In my opinion Jase McClellan from Aledo is the better of the 2 for 2020.

Duncanville had some grown men on their D Line though.

74 from north shore but a 6’6 320 pound junior tackle that has good feet will always get a ton of looks.

Dont let last night game fool you, Evans is the best back to come out of Texas in a long long time.

He runs over people. We don't want him to be an Aggie, he will torture us for 3 years.

I think Duncanville defense was just that good, had him frustrated and the coaches pulled him off the field a few times when his attitude started sucking.

I’ll have to watch him play again before I judge him I guess. I’ve seen the #2 RB for Texas 2020 and he’s legit. Probably the best I’ve seen come out of Texas since Jonathan Gray.

It just looked like 3 wasn’t seeing the field well last night and he was getting hit in the backfield or at the line of scrimmage.

After watching Duncanville man handle south lake carrol and Allen I’ll give him a pass for last nights game. I’m sure they’ll be back in AT&T soon with as much young talent as they had.

That duncanvile defense was the real deal. Big, fast, and physical.

It was certainly not a great game for Evans, but Duncanville has several Division I athletes on its team and a tough defense.

But at least North Shore won it on the last play. Evans will be heavily recruited next season.

Herman had 7 of the top 10 and 11 of the top 15 from Texas last year. The top 9 were DBs and WRs (all top 115 recruits). Five of the top 10 in Texas this year are WRs and DBs. He grabbed a tackle and a WR. UGA with Smart is also a big recruiter, only has 2 of Georgia's top 10 as well. This isn't Louisiana where there is only one big in state school. Texas is huge and dominating it yearly is not possible unless you are on a Saban type run.

Add to the fact Jimbo being the recruiter he is and the new kid on the block, he racked up a bunch in state promising them a big future in the SEC. A big part of Oklahoma's recruiting is Texas, so of course they'll get theirs too.

Ohio St going and grabbing a WR of all recruits isn't a big deal other than the fact that he's a 5 star. Hell even the top WR in Georgia (also 5 star #1 WR) doesn't want to go to UGA.
