Will Ripoll. Anyone know about him? Know he's going to Curtis next year.

LINK

That's a link to his twitter announcement. I knew Curtis had a big time baseball player coming in from Texas, but I thought it was a position player. Maybe there are more than one.

Cabrera is at Parkview now.

Curtis had 2 kids coming back that were displaced from Katrina. Ripoll is a good pitcher upper 80's low 90's. I think the other texas kid that may go to Curtis is a big slugging first baseman.

Some time this summer. It was talked about early in the summer that he was moving to Baton Rouge. He registered with the East Coast Pro and Area Code Games as being from Parkview. That was the first I had seen of his destination.

I hope the Parkview curse doesn't hit Cabrera.
Those Parkview guys never pan out.

Cade Beloso is who you're thinking of. Plays on the LA Knights 16U select team

Will Ripoll was gonna sign with ARK until LSU offered him a scholarship he couldn't refuse

JC has 2 other kids (2018 class) that will likely commit to an SEC West school in the next several weeks.

I think I read that Beloso was leaning Arkansas. Where is Jay Curtis headed?

Not sure about Jay as he has several scholarship offers as does SS Jordin LaBruzza. Besides Ripoll (LSU) and Beloso, Logan Stevens of Northlake Christian also transferred to JC for this school year.

The 5 aforementioned kids are team mates on the LA Knights 16U select team

I know Stevens mother and at this point he's an Arkansas lean, but also because Arkansas has offered the most toward scholarship by far. To my knowledge LSU hasn't shown much interest. That may change but just what I know of the situation.

It's orders of magnitude more than we normally get on baseball recruits.

@ Countryboy..... Not sure if you know Logan Stevens' mother professionally (work / business) or personally (neighbors / friend of friend) ; however your post above does have credence.

FTR: Logan has officially visited and been offered by ARK. Several other schools are seriously interested with official visits planned. LSU has not reached out to him or his family. I'm guessing Manieri and staff have their 2018 class locked up with bigger fish.

Logan totally respects the LSU Baseball program and will not pass judgement if the phone doesn't ring. He understands this is a business decision that has to be made by both parties. The kid has excellent grades and will study chemical engineering or pre-medicine in college .
