Jaray Jenkins, a receiver from Jena, gave his pledge to the Tigers, he tweeted Monday night. Jenkins, a three-star prospect ranked as the 16th-best in the state for 2018, received an offer from LSU on Monday and immediately committed.

Jenkins holds a handful of non-major conference offers, including Louisiana Tech, Louisiana-Monroe and Louisiana-Lafayette. Mississippi State and Kansas offered, too.

WR recruiting will be very interesting this year.
Welcome aboard, Jaray

This reminds me of DJ Chark.....mid La commit out of the blue.
That one has worked out so far, with one chapter or so to go...

Didn't see this one coming. Didn't think LSU would offer him.

Crazy how we could legit bring in 5 to 6 big time instate receivers this year. Louisiana is deep as hell at WR.

So glad to hear this. I have known Jaray since he was a little boy. He's a good kid and very exciting to watch.

I sure hope Kenan Jones hops back on board. He's the second best wide receiver in the state next to Terrance Marshall imo.

Isn't there another younger kid from Jena that was a monster.....I remember a while ago talk about a guy who was in 8th grade or something who was supposed to be a force. Perhaps there is strategy with this pickup?

JJ, how would you rank them.
What do you think about the 2 Texas wr.
I like Preston and Eagles a little better than Marshall and Jason but it is close.

They're all so different. Tough to rank them, but Marshall and Whop are the top 2 outside guys.

Ty.
I agree there are a lot of differences.
That can be a good thing.
Get 5 out of the La/Tx guys and call it a day.

Jenkins could play either inside or outside. Keys III is inside. Texas kids seem to be outside from what I've seen. Houston inside. Chase either/or. Very deep class.
