Roll asked for a bump as well, so Spence will pick twice.

jembeurt selects Juwan Burgess, ATH Indiana
I'll slot him at safety since that's where he'll be playing at IU (you know, following the rules and all). Another player with a good offer list that exceeds his ranking. Decommitted from USC and followed two other HS teammates to Indiana. Played QB on the scout team his entire JR year because of transfer rules. Good teammate and talented kid. I'll take it.

Indiana listed him as a DB on their signing day graphic

No. He's referencing if another school wanted him in a different position other than the one he is absolutely going to play in college. And my guess to that would be yes. I have no first hand knowledge, but judging the offers that he reported and the film of his receiving and return abilities, I would assume there was a team wanting him on the offensive side of the ball.

When it comes to Dillon I do have knowledge that he was recruited at LB by "my team" Michigan who he decommitted from in part(if not entirely) because they were looking at him at LB
My OL that I will pick later(to replace Steuber) was listed as an OL on every site and recruited by everyone at OL except the school he ended up going to.
We should not be bound by the positions they will "start out at" at best they are fickle and any many cases mean nothing at all(like literally the first day of fall camp they'll play something different)

I pick Michigan LB Ben Mason who is actually the reverse of all this. He will start out at LB but I think(and hope) he will move to FB

Look I understand the rule and I understand what you are doing.
I think this comes down to ethics. I can see something's being allowed but if you know that in your heart of hearts the kid will be a RB just do the right thing.
There is no money or no trophy so either way it wont be the end of the world.
But it doesn't make you an strong evaluator if you load up on RB at every position then say I drafted this guy. Because if your team is lite on LB you would lose every game.

Everyone has different objectives, mine is to get the best 22. I think its perfectly within your purview as a drafter to slot a guy who was legitimately recruited by multiple schools and even committed to play LB/OL but ended up going to a school that will start him out at a different position (RB/DL)
Coaches change, players grow, players are moved due to injury, players are moved due too depth, players transfer. Not to mention some players are recruited to play hybrid positions with the goofy names(star, superback, buck, taser etc). I bet if you go back 5 years and look at any recruiting class at least 20% of the players switched positions at some point and if you have a coaching change its probably way more.
I'm pretty sure the precedent had already been set on this before I ever joined

Give me Jalen McKenzie 6'4 305 OL USC.
McKenzie is listed a bunch of different positions, but he will either play guard or center in college. He played a ton of center and right tackle in high school. USC got a commit from a true center this year, but I'm never a fan of those 6'2 260 true center commits. I think he ends up playing center at USC. He had a bad knee injury his junior year that kinda tanked his recruitment and slowed his progression.
He comes from a huge football family. His brother plays for Tennessee and so did his dad. His dad is actually the GM of the Raiders. He'll play center for Team DLD, and he is mean as shite.
I was a little worried about my interior O-line a few rounds ago, but I think I will end up with a great group.
