Does he favor bama or ole miss?

TCU has probably given him the most attention. I do know that he has grown up a Tiger Fan and would love to wear a purple and gold uniform!!??

So would your son go to LSU if offered?

I can tell you he wants nothing more than a chance to play in the SEC. If given the right offer? No doubt LSU is top of his list!!!

Impressive video! he appears to have good vision, is a sure tackler and moves very well toward the ball as well as laterally.

How close are you to Layton? Family member?
I really like this highlight. Kid is huge for only a sophomore. Would love to see him get an offer down the road.

I watched him play against my old school pineville and he's good but I think he needs more muscle with that frame to me

I'am his Dad, at least that's what my wife tells me!!? I'm a huge Tiger fan, but a much bigger Layton fan!! This was his sophomore year. He has put on 20+ lbs of muscle and has increased his quickness and speed in the process.

Wish him the best and if the offers arent coming based off film then try to hit as many camps/combines this spring as possible. The Nike camps, Next Level etc. Get exposure. Then this summer do all you can to get him to LSU camp and if possible another schools camp or two. Those school camps are costly but worth it if you guys feel the talent is there.

He did not play his Junior year. 2 weeks before the start of the season he injured his ankle at a ULM camp. Our local orthopedic professionals couldn't seem to treat nor diagnose his injury properly. After countless visits and rehab appointments locally we decided to travel over to Dr. Andrews in Birmingham for a second opinion. They immediately put him into surgery and fixed two torn ligaments. All good now...but definitely cost him a season he can never get back!!!

Kid's just nasty on the field. He was greatly missed this year. Hope he has a healthy senior year. He will sign with a power 5 school.
