Layton will take OV with LSU at the end of the month and we will host a few of the coaches at our home next week. Currently Layton holds 4 official scholarship offers with 3 of them coming from in state schools. We have considered the walk-on opportunity with LSU and are still considering what's best for his future. Hopefully a scholarship offer will be available before all is said and done!!!
Yeah.... he is big and can hardly move!!?? Probably should hang up his cleats!!!
Well Tender Heart, he is 6'2.8 if you want to be exact! The video is from 2013 and he has grown an inch in the last year! His grandfather is 6 '5, the kid was blessed with my wife's side of the gene pool! We will be in Baton Rouge on Sat. attending Junior Day. You are welcomed to bring a tape and scale and take your own measurements. Enjoy the rest of your day calling people out from behind a computer screen!!

We are kinda gun shy now of going to camps. We did that and it cost him his Jr. season with one bad turn!!!???...However we really do have a few camps lined out for the summer.....if his school workouts and 7on7 games permit. We actually have been leaning on our coaching staff to help with his exposure. After this humbling year with the injury, we have learned to lean on the man above more and trust his plan is greater than ours!!! Thx buddy and I will keep you up to date on his progress.

We are definitely looking forward to John Randle being healthy!! WM was no doubt snake bit with injuries this past season, however we were blessed with some extremely hard working, hard nosed, scrappy underclassmen that stepped up and gave us a great season! Next year will be something special for sure!!!

Thx for the kind encouraging words!! Although we are constantly considering his future plans after graduation. Layton's main focus currently is on preparing for his Senior year with his teammates and bringing home a long overdue 5A State Title!! Geaux Rebels!!!

He did not play his Junior year. 2 weeks before the start of the season he injured his ankle at a ULM camp. Our local orthopedic professionals couldn't seem to treat nor diagnose his injury properly. After countless visits and rehab appointments locally we decided to travel over to Dr. Andrews in Birmingham for a second opinion. They immediately put him into surgery and fixed two torn ligaments. All good now...but definitely cost him a season he can never get back!!!
I'am his Dad, at least that's what my wife tells me!!? I'm a huge Tiger fan, but a much bigger Layton fan!! This was his sophomore year. He has put on 20+ lbs of muscle and has increased his quickness and speed in the process.

I can tell you he wants nothing more than a chance to play in the SEC. If given the right offer? No doubt LSU is top of his list!!!

TCU has probably given him the most attention. I do know that he has grown up a Tiger Fan and would love to wear a purple and gold uniform!!??
