After only playing five game his junior season, Desmond Jackson is looking forward to next season. He recently went down to Orlando for the Under Armour Combine and performed well. Jackson put up huge numbers early in his high school career and is poised for a big senior season.
“The combine went pretty well,” said Desmond Jackson (5’9/170). “I enjoyed getting back out there and being around all the players and just having fun.”
Jackson, a junior from West Rowan High School in Mount Ulla, N.C, played in only five games this season. However, he is still attracting interest from several schools.
“I am hearing from Oregon, Alabama, Duke, North Carolina State, Nebraska, Pittsburgh, Purdue, Florida, Florida State, Texas A&M, and Auburn,” he said. “Duke, Oregon, and Pittsburgh are recruiting me the hardest, but I am still waiting on my first offer.”
Although Jackson maintains that he is open to all schools, he did have a favorite school growing up.
“My favorite school is Oregon,” said Jackson. “I have always liked them and I really like all the speed that they have.”
With the combine behind him, Jackson will focus on becoming a better player.
“I really am going to work on getting stronger and getting my 40 down to a consistent 4.4,” he said “I also really want to improve on hitting the hole a little harder and also being patient as a runner,” he said.
The Falcons’ running back plans to attend several camps this summer.
“This summer, I plan to go to as many one day camps as possible,” Jackson said. “I know I am probably going to go to N.C. State, Auburn, Wake Forest, North Carolina, and maybe Georgia Tech.”
As for his senior season, Jackson wants to make the most of it.
“I want take my team to the 3-A state championship, get better, and help my teammates,” he said.
In five games, Jackson had for 375 yards rushing, 120 yards receiving, 200 return yards, and seven total touchdowns. He bench presses 225 pounds, squats 405, and runs the 40-yard dash in 4.5 seconds.

best of luck to your son, Mr. Jackson. Nothing from Notre Dame yet?

Besides that is not the style of RB Miles even seems to want

He is listed as one of the prospects of interest....that's why I posted it. If Les Miles is not interested, so be it. There are others who are and that's the nature of recruiting.

He has interest in any school that has interest in him at this point. I know exactly what site this is and if he was not listed as a prospect of interest, I would not have posted. Excuse me if I am wrong and God bless you. No more post from me.

Good job on running off the father of a possible recruit.
