The hardest things to replace will be(in no particular order):

1) LBs--we are losing all 3 of our starters

2) leadership--young guys are talented, but there is a lot of senior leadership in this class. And that matters.

3) Lafell

4) stability at LT---we'll be breaking in a new starter at the most important OL position for the first time in 4 years

I can only hope we are lucky enough for it to work out as well as it did last time.

It's hilarious that the Rant was saying before that 2010 was going to be so much better than this year, and now this.

You should be more worried about the defense, just as you always should have this year. Alem will be the biggest loss. We'll have Toliver, Randle, and Shepard at WR. Black has never been a shutdown LT. If we get Lache, we should be OK at RB.

Yet we're replacing Alem likely with a guy who should be a DT in Edwards, and this zone scheme requires a great pass rush. Our MLB will likely be a redshirt freshman in Minter.

HELLO!!!! we are always replacing very good players. There is no point in worrying because there is nothing you can do about it. Sit back and relax and let the coaches handle this. All that stress cant be good for you. as long as Miles keeps recruiting top talent we will be in good shape

I say we recruit guys who can step in and produce.....especially with what will be a experienced qb, we have the horses in the stable. With a good D we will have time to get it going..........no worries. One season at a time brah.....

Really? You come up with that all by yourself?

Dunbar's poor recruting performance is really the only weak link in depth.

This same point is raised on this board at the same time each year.
By the end of this season new talent will step up and materialize in the coming football campaign. It always amazes me how many Jacob Hester's step up. Remember new Tiger leaders cannot step up until they get to play a full fall football season.

First you fail to take into consideration player development. These kids will improve 1st of all.

Second, each and every team in the SEC will lose star players. Florida will lose Tebow, Spikes, and other key players on both sides of the ball too. Ole Miss will probly lose Snead. Texas and Oklahoma will lose their Heisman QBs. etc. etc. etc.

Third, to add on to my second point. The schedule will not be the same because every team will undergo changes in personnel, losing their top talent to the league.

So yes, I would be worried if our current team had to play without all of our seniors this year, but 2010 is still a good bit away. Dont worry too much until this season is over.

every team loses players, we are in as good a position as any to replace those guys

we are the envy of 116 programs across the country in terms of what is waiting on the bench, chomping at the bit for their chance.

I'm not so concerned about the D.

Can't understand why you wouldn't be worried about the defense if you are worried about offense. Have you thought about our front 7 on defense next year and their back-ups?
