My original thought for this thread was Loston.

I see Craig Loston panning out like Sean Spence last year at Miami. Just a young kid with unreal talent. Hard to keep them off the field.

that would be great. The Northwest kids really played well as freshmen. I saw them beat Southlake here in Dallas the year before. Those guys will help Randy Shannon get to the top of the ACC.

he could definately help us out and be really good by the end of the season.

He runs with a good combination balance, power (evidence by him running over Jelani Jenkins in the Under Armour game), and speed

Don't know what game you were watching, but I saw Jelani stop all forward motion and make a good tackle. Him falling to the side doesn't really matter.

LINK

He got negative yards....

good tackle? jenkins got bitched, the sideline and the other defender flying in are the only things that prevented richardson from breaking away after putting jelani on his arse

also, if you really think that "tackle" resulted in negative yardage you either can't see or you're incredibly biased

Well, the line of scrimmage was still ahead of him wasn't it? Jelani made an amazing read and plugged a hole. He didn't fear the hit and completely stopped the most dominant RB in the class. TR would have gone down whether help came or not.

The kid is 16 and will grow into an amazing linebacker. Sure I'm biased, but are you really more impressed with TR on that play? He took a good hit and wobbled to the side for a play with no gain. The kid will be a great back, but that isn't the play to show for it.

Xeno I'm with you on this one. JJ stopped him for a loss on the play. As for TR I wish he was playing for us. Considering there is no blitzing aloud the RB does have an advantage getting to the line before contact is made on most plays.
TR is going to be a force to be reckoned with. He is a beast.

Brown and Green will be the best WR tandom in the SEC until Green leaves early.

Rueben Randle, LSU

Great route running...

not saying you're wrong, because I dont know shite about him outside of his elite ranking, but I wonder how crisp his routes will be after having played QB all year his senior season. Does this have any effect on his skill set, i.e. how much rust does he have to shake off?

Not saying it's easy but Crabtree made the transition fairly easy. He was a QB too. Early made it too. Jared Mitchell too, although he played QB Freshman-Junior year and a little Senior but made the fulltime switch to WR.

i never jumped on the Marlon Brown bandwagon. All year i thought he was overrated. His video just never impressed me all that much.

And he sucked it up at the Under Armour practices.

That's what I'm afraid of...being too similar to Early. While he eventually became a badass, it took him till the latter half of his career to establish himself. He was one of the highest rated players in the nation as well.

I know no two players will be exactly alike, but I feel that it's a fair comparison to wonder how much or how little impact Randle will have in his freshman year.

He was also afforded the luxury of a redshirt year, which is something I don't see Randle getting. I definitely think it'll take some adjustment time, but I wouldn't be surprised to see him make a bit of a splash this season. He's just got too much in terms of depth ahead of him to make an A.J. Green/Julio Jones type impact this season.

Early and Randle are not similar players at all at the WR position.

Not a fair comparison.

Randle will have no problem making the adjustment to college.

They are in the sense that both made the transition from QB to WR. That is the point I was trying to make. But you're right in that they are no way at all the same "type" of WR.

I can't help but to think Crowton isn't looking at Florida plays made this past year by Harvin. That said, RS will be an impact player also. They have to be designing plays for him.
