Wes Luquette was my personal catcher on our N.O.R.D. team when we were 10,11, and 12. He's got that late summer birthday so hes a school year behind but closer to my age (im a freshmen at LSU). yet he's built like a sophmore in college. He's got a cannon of an arm. hed mess with me when he'd throw the ball back to me harder than i pitched it. ( i was more of a greg maddux type). He played his high school ball at Newman under one of the greatest coaches, Coach Fitz. Great talent, i was excited and surprised when he told me he committed to LSU.

I got the opportunity to see Mason Katz play in the final eight tournament in Denham last year. I had heard about him and was shocked to see how small he was but that kid can put a serious charge into the baseball. Three dingers in three games at Denham Springs with one bomb to straight away center. I am glad we picked this kid up.
