Social media, you, me and everyone else have more of an impact than we think by having the ability to express personal feelings that everyone can see.

It's a contributing factor I'm sure. Our fans are too fricking busy dodging pieces of the sky falling to notice.

Catastrophe Syndrome is contagious.

Yeah I'm sure it's just the fans. Players were tweeting shite after the NC game about playing time and letting out frustration.

That's a crock of shite the Recruits that leave universities at the last moment had their mind made up long before and just want the attention , it only puts more pressure on them once they actually start playing for the school they actually attend

That is weak. All any fan can do is react to the product produced by the program. But I guess it's easy to blame the ambiguous collection of fans than any individuals that might actually be to blame.

Why don't you blame the coach who left his players high and dry on 1/9/12. The coach quit and it was obvious when he ran a dive play on 3rd and 4 and then punted in the National Championship Game down by two touchdowns in the 2nd half.

This.

davis said after the first bama game that bama should have won the game. he also said once that mingo/rasco were talented and would be tough to beat out.

this is kiel part 2, both guys don't want to compete. move on.

I do not think any one person, or group of people, is totally free from blame in creating the negative haze covering the program. We can debate how much negativity exists, but I don't think anyone doubts that there is none.

Hopefully, much of the anti-JJ rancor will dissipate and not be directed towards someone else next year.

Sorry LSU fans, some of this is true. Do they get on TD.com and look at this shite daily? No. But to the think players/recruits don't feel at least a little bit of the environment/attitude surrounding the program is ignorant and part of the problem. Our fans can be one of our best qualities when times are good, one of our worst when times are bad.

Winston is actually closer to FSU than Bama and Mobile has long been an area open to all of the schools around the Gulf Coast.

Kwon - Bama's interest in him wavered the entire time. This was never a kid that Bama said "this is someone who is a priority. He needs to be a part of this class." ---- hence he goes somewhere else

I don't disagree. The backlash from 1/9 has been horrible and fueled mainly by the fanbase.

what a joke...it doesn't surprise me that they would say something ridiculous like that.

I truly hope that is sarcasm . . . hard to tell on the board these days.

If not, you might want to read your own board.

Exactly.

There is no need for those same people to bitch about a recruit not coming here, after all the negative stuff that some folks say.

This is exactly what the guy meant by what he said.

The players love the program, but I doubt they love the way that they were treated after the game.

Tiger Stadium has not been the same the past 2 years, we are 24-4 over the past 2 years and our fans have booed our team during at least 5 home games. Our fans have become spoiled and have not provided an exciting atmosphere in Tiger Stadium. Too much negativity!

Yep No doubt the fans screwed it up. They screwed up the 1/9 gameplan, the Personnel choices on the field, the locker room atmosphere, the post game comments by the players. Dammmmmm fans!

"The players love the program, but I doubt they love the way that they were treated after the game."

This.

Have you listened to the radio or talked to people around town lately? The comments that come from LSU fans on the radio have been absolutely ridiculous. Was I disappointed that we lost the way we did 1/9? Hell frickin yea I was, I was there 8 rows from the field right in front of about 30 Bama fans in our section. It was the ultimate torture.

Fact is, the players and recruits hear this shite whether they want to or not. Turning on the radio, walking around town, the negativity was impossible to ignore for the last month.

So, we have a kid who is afraid of and deterred by criticism from people he will probably never meet?

Hmmm... Time to put him in a bubble and shut him off from the real world.
