guys, i'm not very familiar with exit numbers and whatnot in the BR area but I'm trying to get my family directions from mobile to lafayette. does anyone have any knowledge about how to get around the i-10 westbound closure at laplace? what alt route can be taken?

If you're going to Lafayette from
Mobile you wouldn't stay on I-10. You would get on I-12 to baton rouge and then back on 10 to Lafayette. Youre fine.

Like it was said, you wouldn't need to go through New Orleans. You can get on I-12 where I-10 and I-12 split. Those two interstates merge back together in Baton Rouge...you will avoid the road closures by doing this. However, today, you will face some traffic delays in Baton Rouge due to the LSU game at 6pm, depending on when they leave...
