I wasnt taking exception with the food part....just the tailgating part.
FWIW, I love Lafayette....Lafayette trumps BR all the way around....EXCEPT when it comes to all things college football.

Baton Rouge tailgating is definitely bigger but I don't see how that would enhance my tailgating experience? Having everything in a smaller area is a positive, IMO.

Tailgating is improved by getting to watch a top 5 powerhouse afterwards IMO.
Watching a top 5 team in the sunbelt doesnt put any icing on my cake

They're planning on remodeling it pretty soon. We just got RCAF a couple of years ago so shite is pretty far behind. Sitting on the side of the stadium with no shade helps to build character

Why has this become ULL vs. LSU or Lafayette vs. Baton Rouge? Geezus. Some people are insecure. Enjoy your tailgate. Enjoy your town. Don't worry about other tailgates or towns.
eta: I graduated from LSU and work in Lafayette. I have no issue with either town or either school.

I can see why an LSU fan would think so. I enjoy watching my university play. I'm not a bandwagon fan so after years of sucking, watching the team go undefeated at home was just like when the Saints got good for me.

Although I responded to your post, it was directed at the entire group.

I love both cities, but I can't wait to move to Houston in a couple years.

New Orleans Bowl, unless we get a bigger bowl invite. The NOLA Bowl is cool because of location but if we got a chance to play a bigger team, that'd be cool.

By the way, some people in Broussard have lost power on the Entergy system. I just set up my parents generator.
