Been on Generator power for last thirty minutes.
Have a wattage meter and we are only drawing 1300 watts. May power up the A/c if it gets hot.
Plan to turn it off at 2am to save gas for being out for a day or two.

Again, I'm right southwest of LSU's campus and have power. I've lost it a couple times itermittently but have gotten it back pretty quickly. Still doing okay.

Is it good or bad if the power gies out and comes back on then goes out again about 5 minutes later? Can I tell why the power went out based on how it went out?

Probably worst-case scenario so if they get it done before then, they can say how efficient they are. If it does take them a week, they can say that's how long they predicted.
