Houma is doing fine. It looks to me from the radar images that B.R. is getting it worse than Houma.

dude I'm in downtown houma, idlewild is only 3 or 4 miles from here, it's calm, not much wind, not much rain, no flooding. The power was out last night but has been on here since 11am.

You know anything about around the airport? Or that side of town for that matter?

I live in downtown houma, and from what i've seen everything is pretty good. We lost power last night around midnight, but it was back on before noon today. As for the weather here it's been pretty uneventful, got bad last night, but woke up this morning to calm weather while the eye was over us, and we've had some showers and gusty wind since then (nothing bad at all).

I'm not sure what other areas of houma are like, but the most I've heard are some downed trees and power lines.

I was pretty surprised at the lack of weather we had today considering the eye went over us.

We got in the eye around 9:30 this morning. They kept telling us the worst was coming. I don't think the other side of the storm is ever gonna hit here. We got power back around 11:00 this morning and it's been calm ALL DAY since then. I understand that weather can be unpredictable, but these meteorologists and weather reporters have made a career of being wrong all day every day. If I were wrong that often I couldn't keep a job. frick these people.

430 am not interested
I run 5 - 6 times/week anywhere from 3 - 8 miles (in the summer, when it gets cold I'll go 12 -14 on weekends). But we do a 5K every Monday starting and ending at the Boxer & the Barrel. They give us runners and or/walkers 2 for one draft and they have a good draft selection.

Is that everyday? I didn't even know 4:30am existed, but may have to give it a shot.

We run a 5k every monday at 6:15pm starting at the boxer and the barrel (have 4 different routes). After the run we get 2 for 1 draft beer. We're trying to get a run club started, similar to Happy's in Baton Rouge, right now we have about 10-12 people, but only about 7 or 8 show up every week

Ya'll come out on mondays and run/drink with us
