Are cops required to ride with their lights on in situations like this?

Seems like every cop car in NOLA has their lights on right now, even the undercover cars. Not sure about here in BR...

said on the news earlier they were ticketing every car in nola driving over 5 mph, likely just leave the lights on so they can pull over every car they see

no man, only if you go over 5mph on flooded streets

How the hell do you ticket someone for over 5?

oh is it flooded streets? the reporter did not qualify her statement with "flooded streets". Donna Brit did also ask the fire chief of grand isle which of the 3 little pigs built their fire station, so likely not legit.

Kenner and JP are doing the same.
you can't drive on a flooded street unless you have business to be on it, and if you do no faster than 5mph.
But yes a lot of people are getting randomly pulled over.

I'd like to see if BRPD is doing the same, but I don't want to get on the road.
