Anyone else have to work tomorrow?

My wife was told that she had to report for work tomorrow in BR even though they know we left to stay in the Acadia area with our newborn. Now they expect her to show up at 8am tomorrow for a job as an assistant. Im furious. This company had ZERO plan told her that they felt that the storm would only produce a little rain and initially told her they will let her know by Wed if they were to report ON WED. Yet on the other end of the spectrum Im essential personell for a national bank and my company tells me to not come in tomorrow or work from where I am as needed.

That's ridiculous. Frankly, I would not want to work for a company that had such little regard for my family's safety and my life...they have to realize that many evacuated, are they that dense or just insensitive? She can be there Friday or Tuesday or go f themselves.

Yea I told her they can fire her for evac and she will still qualify for unemployment. Im not driving a newborn who is currently sick through a storm at 6am to get to a house without power so she can get to work on time for a place that doesnt even have a plan.

Seeing as I work out of my house, I am sure I will sit in my office a while but I doubt I touch any type of work.

Worked today (half) and all day tomorrow.

My work actually begins tomorrow in response to the storm.
