What variety have you had the best luck with. Is there anything better than Dasher II?

I’ve grown Poinsett 76, Marketmore 76, Straight Eight, Boston Pickling, and Sweet Success with no problems. I wouldn’t say any of them are better than Dasher II, but the Poinsett 76 is the one I’ve grown most other than DII’s.

Dasher !! is all I planted for last 10 years. The best. Ask Johnny Naler he will tell you the same. Buy my fresh seeds each year at Cleggs.

I've grown Marketmore, Straight 8 and several of the pickling varieties over the years and have always had success with all of them.
The thing with the pickling varieties is to find them while they are still small because they can get lost in the foliage. Oh, and plant them so they can climb on a trellis, fence or some other support to keep the fruit off the ground as it helps prevent rot and makes picking much easier.

I never had very good success, so I asked the local nursery and they said that 90% of their customers go with the Dasher II’s. I planted them last year and had really good success.
