Zillow is a mess for sellling houses. Zillow’s main business is selling market share “referrals” to agents. Agents pay X amount for Y% of internet inquiries. Depending on zip code some agents pay $1200+ a month for 75% of leads. Lots of BS and bottom dwellers on Zillow looking for a great deal. Be prepared. Most experienced agents have nothing to do with Zillow.

I don't know anything about the selling end but I bought my home from a FSBO on Zillow. I found the home myself on Zillow and told my agent I wanted to see it. The seller was offering a "buyer incentive at closing" on their listing. No idea what it entailed. The sellers were still living in the house so I had to view it with their furniture and toddlers still in the house.
I essentially did all my home searching online. My agent had a portal for me to use via their software but the homes were the same as the ones I was viewing myself on Realtor and Zillow. So long as one party has an agent to facilitate the legal paperwork and buying procedure I don't see why a FSBO in this day and age would have great difficulties.
