That's what they do. If you have plants or want to make sure they don't eat your lawn (at least some of it) you may want to take them out with something. If they're already that far along, though, you'd have to get them ASAP.

I just went through this a few weeks ago on new Bermuda sod. They destroyed the turf within 48 hours. There had to be hundreds if not thousands of them.
It's expensive, but I highly recommend treating with Acelepryn. If you needed something from the big box store for the interim, get this to kill them quickly - LINK
