I had an odd occurrence when I last sprayed the "winter cocktail". Some areas I spot treated turned brown.....like almost Round up brown. Yet most areas sprayed, everything was fine. Has this happened to anyone else? I can't figure out exactly what happened.

My mixing ratios were ok (not my first time doing this) and the day I sprayed it was mild. No cross contamination with Round up as I use a dedicated sprayer for glyphosate.

Really really weird.

I nuked the F out of a portion of my yard. Granted, I half arse measured the ratios and it was right around our first hot spell in late February/early March.

What type of lawn grass were you spraying, particularly in the area that turned “roundup” brown?

Centipede & St Aug

I know atrazine kills Bermuda.

I did pour a good bit of non-ionic surfactant in the tank sprayer, but I wouldn't think that would affect anything.

My St Aug burned in the spots where my fan spray overlapped. It did get into the upper 80's after I sprayed so I figured that did it since my first application was fine.

Yes too much surfactant can cause problems. Not saying for sure that is the issue here but you really should use only the recommended amount.
