Dang, in rural MS, my mom's quote was roughly $1,000 more than that (45 sq) for TAMKO. Installing a ridge vent is an additional $650.

just met with the roofer and he is now offering the CertainTeed Landmark and throwing in the 4 Star Coverage which basically is a lifetime warranty on materials and labor. cost comes right at $7500.

now you workin him baw but you not done yet, go back and ask roofer to throw in IR (impact resistant) Certanteed Landmark, den call your insurance agent and ask for a discount on your policy, most insurance companies offer 10-20% ANNUAL discount on your entire policy for IR shingles, do a cost benefit analysis and determine your payback in years should roofer want to up charge you for IR, less than 5 year payback is your goal IF roofer upcharges for IR upgrade, most roofers offer the upgrade for free to close the deal, take it and save some insurance money baw and gettin a much better product on your roof than Atlas or Tamko...
And WATCH your roofer during the job to insure the old roof is removed so the deck can be inspected, and ALL roof metal, drip edge and fittings are NEW and not reused to make up the profit margin for the upgrade to CT Landmark IR...
