White quartzite pool deck

I'm considering white quartzite for my pool deck. Does anyone have a white quartzite pool deck that can tell me about how they like it?
Does it get hot under your feet in the hottest part of the summer, or does it stay relatively cool? Any issues from a maintenance standpoint (does it stain easily, does it need to be cleaned or pressure washed often, etc.)? Any other likes or dislikes with it that you can tell me about?

We've had it for 3 plus years now - I think it's called Cafe Au Lait or something like that but it's white quartzite all around the pool and under porch. It's great - not slippery and not hot in the sun. I've passed the circle cleaning tool over it with pressure washer maybe twice in 3 years, mostly because the grout lines get dirty / don't really notice the quartzite getting dirty at all.

Do you seal the quartzite periodically or no?

I had it in my last house on the patio and pool deck. It is really nice looking and does not get hot at all.
Two gripes: If you are messy while grilling and you spill on it, it will stain.
If you go with the white quartzite, I hope you have really good sun glasses, because it is brite as hell.
I'm building again and I am trying to figure out what material I will use. Maybe bluestone.

No we've never sealed it or anything. I will agree with other poster it is BRIGHT in the sun, but it's really beautiful and functional for a pool area

This. When I read “white”. Imagine walking through a brand new parking lot. I bet it’s brighter than that. And never gonna dull. Eyes stinging if your water gets out of balance and you retinas burning.
