It’s looked like this since we moved in two years ago. Any tricks or tips?
Area gets plenty of rain and plenty of sun.

The old timers say that the first year it sleeps, second year it creeps, and the third year it leaps.
Try some fertilizer with some 8-8-8 in the fall and spring, and that should help it along.

There are lichens growing on the bark, a sign of high moisture and poor vigor.
It might be staying too wet under the surface. Take the mulch back from the crown of the plant about 5 inches, fertilize lightly and rake into top 1 in of soil. Spray with a copper based fungicide late in the day and make sure to get the trunks.
If you see new growth in the first 2-3 weeks, you might prune out one of the trunks about 6 in above ground to spur new growth.

As far as I know it could’ve been there 6 years. We’ve only been here two.
I’ll try the fertilizer

Sweet olives grow incredibly slowly. Looks like someone pruned our lower branches. It’s got new growth, though, so all is not lost. Mine have been in ground about 5 yrs and average about 6-8” new growth in height each year.

Looks like it needs some fertilizer. It’s very thin and frail.
