I’m loooking to repaint a small painted concrete porch. What type of paint to use? Any other steps worth mentioning? The old paint is not chipping and is in pretty good condition, we just don’t like the color. Thanks!

Hit it with a sander to scuff up the surface so the new paint will adhere well. Sweep it off to get all the dust up and then paint with a good porch and deck paint. I have 2 wood porches and use latex porch and deck paint and it holds up very well.
If me, I wouldn't use a high gloss type paint just for the probability of people slipping and falling, especially if the area gets wet. Think of wet ceramic glazed tiles and you'll see what I mean.
If you do go with a high gloss paint, they sell a grit compound you can mix in with the paint to make it less slippery, but my experience with that product is it also helps dirt cling to the surface.

epoxy paint is best for a hard finish that resists wear like garage floors and porches

Sherwin Williams Porch & Floor Enamel holds up well.
