I garden all year round in new Orleans. then again I don't live in a miserable place like Kentucky

In my area, the best gardening is winter: cabbages, kale, broccoli, cauliflower, greens, etc. Climate zone 9b. Your daddy’s advice is terrible for my zone.

Zone 6b: I begin in earnest first week of April planting my melons, sweet potatoes etc.

April 15th is when I plan to graft my citrus. Feeling good about it.
