Agreed, and to your point I think KitchenAid is owned by Whirlpool …and Jenn Air, etc. It’s almost like the difference between GMC & Chevy. Only the logos are different.

They all have a shelf life. Its a battle between cost effective and reviews.
FWIW, I'd avoid box store appliances if you're looking for longevity.
