Well is less than a year old. We trickled water all night because of the freeze. When we got up in the morning, well was not running. There's power to it and that's as far as I got. Is there a common problem here?

So you don’t have running water in the house? It might be the pressure switch. I had several go bad over the years.

Are you sure pipes didn’t freeze?

tap your pressure switch (don’t get shocked). If it doesn’t kick on that’s your problem

If it does kick on and you do t have water, you have a frozen pipe somewhere

Best thing for a well in cold weather is to put an incandescent light bulb under the cover.

That's all that's needed to keep it warm enough to not freeze.
