Weed and feed: Did I mess this up?

So I had a loaded bucket of Scott's chilling and there was a leak in my water hose, just my luck, which sprayed the whole bucket down into mush basically. I was like, how do I salvage this? So I just picked up a garden spade and catapulted Weed and Feed mush all over my weedy backyard. I then sprayed anything pink down with a water hose until I didn't see it anymore.
Seems like this is a salvageable situation, but I am not an expert in fertilizer. I have heard that overfertilizing your plants with products like miraclegro will burn them.
Am I okay here?

Probably not the best method. For reference, the scott brand spreaders have uneven distribution because some granules hit the wheels. Just that little change in distribution will cause your lawn to be stripped or plaid.
Hurling spade loads out probably create a bit of a Jackson Pollock effect that may result in areas that grow like crazy and areas that die from concentration of fertilizer and herbicide.
Or, maybe not. Time will tell for sure.

Man, that sounds like a clusterfrick!
I think you will be fine from a fertilizer standpoint…any burning will be minimal and grass that doesn’t get burned will grow like crazy taking over.
Now, if I am not mistaken, the weed killer has to stick to the leaves of weeds, so you may lose some effectiveness there.

You must be very careful with over fertilizing. Yes, indeed you will burn those plants.

There are two common forms of nitrogen in fertilizer (Ammonium Sulfate and Urea)
What happens when you or the dog pisses in the grass?
That's just nitrogen burn from Urine, which is mostly water, urea, and salt.
Salt + urea is a bad combo for grass if too concentrated in one area and if not watered in.
