I have a top load washer. It is leaking from underneath, water on floor in front of machine. What should I be looking for to fix this problem?
Kenmore Elite Oasis HE is the machine if it makes a difference.

Check your coin trap.
Sometimes it's a bad water pump. I've only used front loading washers since i got my house but i have had issues where socks somehow end up in the coin trap of my older machine.

Pop the front panel off so you can see where it’s coming from. Maybe one of the hoses came loose causing the leak.
Mine wasn’t leaking, but it wouldn’t drain or start a cycle recuse there was a child’s sock stuck in the water pump.
Not an appliance repair person, but pretty handy and watch a bunch of YouTube videos to get things repaired around the house.
Alternatively you could YouTube your washer and see if it’s a common problem.

Happened to me as well.
One time there was a sock caught in the drain pump.
Another it was actually during the filling process. Fill valve didn't have great flow so it trickled down and caused some to get outside of the drum.

Youtube videos will tell you exactly how to fix this. I had to replace my pump once.

I would guess pump. Use a flashlight and look for wetness.

How old is it? Does it make really loud noises?
If so it could be the transmission .. that’s what happened to our last one. Not worth fixing.

Is the tub stainless steel or plastic? I had one (an LG or Samsung, can't remember which) that it ended up being a small crack in the tub.
