unfinished/paint grade cabinets Lafayette area

renovating a camp/cottage and in the process i'm needing to redo a kitchen (primarily replacing cabinets). 2 walls, L shaped and each wall is roughly 8 ft in length. Looking for unfinished or paint grade cabinets in the Lafayette area.
I've checked the options at Home Depot/Lowes and will check Surplus Warehouse, but wondering if there might be better options that i'm just not aware of. Lowers/base is a total of about 13.5 ft (since the oven takes up about 2.5 ft of the space). Will likely have 2 uppers on one of the walls next to the hood vent and just floating shelves on the other wall. Price-wise i'd like to stay under $1,000 (all in including kick plates/shelving etc).
Any online/websites that i should consider or small shops to contact?
TIA

I could recommend a great custom shop on the outskirts of Lafayette that wouldn’t pull your eyes out. Honestly though, your budget is to low. I know a guy that’s great with finishing paint grade cabinets as well.

try habitat for humanity if there is one in the area. I picked up some nice one that were built buy inmates that were learning the trade. If i remember correctly the uppers were 70 and the bottom ones were 90. I outfitted my garage with some damn nice cabinets. Also try craigslist/facebook. plenty of suburban wives wanting to upgrade their cabinets and getting rid of their older ones.

Check out lafayette cabinets and countertops on johnson st by UL. I was going to get some unfinished cabinets from surplus warehouse, but was able to get some already painted the color I wanted and installed for not much more for my outdoor kitchen. I also had them do my countertops for that and the house and no complaints at all. The outside of the place will probably want to turn you away, but dont. They normally have a 30-40% off all cabinets sale.
