My confederate jasmine really needs to be shaped up and trimmed but has just started blooming. Will it hurt the blooming process to trim it now or should I wait?

if you keep hedging it back it will actually keep blooming, up to a point

Mine only blooms once also. I leave it alone till all the blooms have fallen off then trim it up. Those things smell unbelievably good. It only lasts about a week unfortunately.

We travel a lot and as a result often come home to out of control plants. I’ve cut the confederate jasmine this time of year before and it’s fine If you just want to trim it, but if you want to really, really reduce its footprint, be patient and cut the heck out of it in December / January. Same for bananas.
