FX4 Supercrew, 4DR, 2011, short bed....

It appears choices are slim, and suggestions?

Across the bed toolbox or on the floor chest box?

crossover....the wheel well is really close the back of the bed. Looking at a Craftsman that should fit.

Man, the tool boxes these days are flimsy AF....you could cut them with a pair of tin snips!

For $400 minimum, you dont get much, and you can easily spend $1000 if you want to.

WeatherTech or Husky are good places to start, though I don’t recall which brand I ended up with. Looks factory with seat down.

If it's not weatherguard, it's shite.

I'd research the craftsman box, I think it's made by Better Built and is one of their lower line boxes. RKI and Weather Guard are the top of the line for a grand or so. Look at UWS toolboxes, TBS-69-LP-MB(600ish$) it's a low profile matte black box that will fit your truck. If you go with a standard depth box the fender wells will not be an issue.

Swing Case by Undercover. It is on my list of eventual improvements to my F150.

Decked and you lose no bed space or you can build it yourself with 3/4 ply. Built my own for about $200 and drawers make access so much easier

Thin metal. Looks like somebody already dented it in sitting their fat arse on it.

Eta: get weather guard. It will outlast your truck. Mine has moved to my second truck (after the 1st being totaled), and it will probably go to my third.

If you want the best toolbox from a company that will stand behind their products, get you a Camlocker.

Be careful which model. They offer some junky shite along with their good stuff. Avoid the cheap ones.

Husky

If their box is as good as their after-market rubber mats that is where I'm going to look.
