Well, here we all are... some succeeded in accomplishing their goals I'm sure. Some didn't.

I managed to get the deck cleared off, pressure washed, and sanded. But fell short of actually painting it. So for me, this weekend's project will be the same.

I was able to complete a lifelong dream of making pear preserves though!

The turf place wasn't open Saturday, so taking the afternoon off today to drop a half pallet of sod to patch the yard.

This coming weekend is honey harvest weekend

Maybe not weekend, but over the next few days I absolutely have to complete the laundry room enough to get the washer/dryer back in and working. Going to grout today and hopefully trim tomorrow. Cabinets/shelves can go in at a later date.

If you're down to the grouting you should be able to knock it out for sure.

Thanks for the pic. It brought up a memory of my great grandmother taking out a jar for me when I went to visit. I had honestly forgotten that until I saw that picture and I could almost taste it again.

My mom and grandmother always made them.. they are so good and you cant find them in the store.

Someone at my wife's work gave her two bags of pears from their trees. So I figured I'd give them a shot.

I plan on planting some pear trees this fall so I can make some from my own in a few years

Canning was always done in my family. Used to do it myself, but stopped growing crap.
