Need repair suggestions. My Echo SRM-225 bogs down while trimming yard. My repair guy said it's due to not filling gas tank completely which causes engine to suck in air. I'm skeptical about that, anyway I still have problem. Any thing I can check to fix this problem?

Echo PAS 225
If I were a lawn professional, with plenty of separate best of the best tools, I would choose the Echo SRM 225 for the string trimmer. However, as a homeowner wanting to save space and money, I prefer the Echo PAS 225 because it has the same great power, reliability and speed feed line loading system as the Echo SRM 225, plus you can use the power head with up to 12 different attachments. This saves money and space, plus if something did break beyond repair, you don't have to replace the entire tool.
I use the string trimmer and brush cutter attachments a lot, plus have the blower attachment that works well but I use my much lighter battery operated blower. I also have the pole saw attachment but haven't used it yet. I've had my Echo PAS 225 for 3 years now using just True Fuel and it still cranks easily and works reliably with plenty of power. For the trimmer line I use Maxpower Premium Twisted line and I mostly use Renegade Carbide tipped blades for the brush cutter.

I would try a new carb with fuel lines. I think there is a filter at the end of the line in the tank maybe that's the issue. Either way a carb, fuel lines and god knows what else is around $10 total on Amazon.

Shindaiwa is the way to go. T262 has power and is light.

I bought an EGO 56V string trimmer after 15 years fighting with gasoline shite. It is no lighter than my stihl gasoline unit, but the benefit is dependability. I will never again spent my time working on a string trimmer after mowing. I like it so much, that I have also bought a chainsaw, that is also ego 56V.
Honestly, I have never trimmed for 45 minutes straight with it, so you might have to buy an extra battery for that. Since I have the battery that came with the trimmer and also the chainsaw, I have all of the battery capacity I need.
