Stained concrete with tile?

I want to rip up carpet in bed rooms and wood in the living room to stain the concrete. Hallway, kitchen and bathrooms are tile. Would it be tacky to keep the tile and stain the concrete or should I rip all of the tile up too?

Just have a good transition piece and realize that you will likely have little divots around the edges where the tack strip is nailed into the concrete.

I didn’t think about the tack strips. Hopefully they won’t be too noticeable

I don't know much about stained concrete. Do they do a skim coat of new concrete and stain that? Or is it just polishing the existing concrete? If it's the latter, the headache of pulling old tile and getting it to a surface you'd be happy to stain may be a huge task.
We retiled the downstairs of our current house when we bought it. They had so much trouble pulling up the old tile, they had to float a layer of thinset (or whatever they use) before they could set new tile. It was just so rough all the chiseling. I'd keep the current tile unless you are willing to deal with a lot to remove it.

I stained some concrete in the first house we had. Filled the tack strip holes with leveling compound. There's not really a way to 100% blend the new concrete with the old, but I had a darker stain and it didn't stand out like a sore thumb. You had to look for it to notice it. But you can absolutely see the filled holes with stain over it. Just my experience.

Generally you do an acid wash on the existing concrete to get rid of any imperfections and it opens up tiny pores that the stain can absorb into.

Tile > stained concrete x 10. Jus tile everything.
