Personally I wouldn't worry about it at this time. Its a lot easier to check and get rid of the squirrel in your yard then going into your attic every time. The squirrels go outside to eat and gather nesting material.

You did bait it right?

Just caught one in backyard…
I smear a little peanut butter on a cracker and it sticks to the trigger pan thing better.. I started putting a few popcorn kernels at the trap entrance and that really jump started my success rate. I use a live trap with both ends open and set it on my fence line.

Never had luck in the attic but maybe your trap will work better there… let us know if you catch one in the attic… I tried a lot of times with no luck.

I haven't tried yet in the attic, so far 4 squirrels, pretty happy with success rate so far.

Also I haven't heard any activity in my attic in a few days, I placed the trap pretty close to the opening... so I'm hoping I caught those MFers who knew about the hole!
