When I cut the grass they fly all over and cover my legs and mower. What is this?

Hard to say for certain with those pics, but they look like some type of leaf hopper. Mess with one of them and see if the hop and then fly or just fly off.
There are a couple different ones mixed in near the bottom the second pic.
Is that a circle or dirt track car? It looks like it.

I think some on the bottom of the second pic could be leaf hoppers from looking. The black and white ones seem to fly a short distance vs hop.
It’s me zero turn mower I just cut the grass to beat the rain
I zoomed in some

I'm almost certain those are leafhoppers, too. Given the number they may be nymphs that hatched not long ago and aren't fully developed yet.

Maybe so I’ll do a lil google foo. There is defiantly some looking in different stages.
Edit to add I think you are correct on the nymph stage of leaf hoppers mostly.

Maybe chinch bugs, smash one and see if it smells like a stink bug. Can’t find a pic of what you have but I’m sensitive to those chinch bug f’s since they destroyed my shite a couple times before I got the grip on their arse.

I had thought that too but the color didnt seem right from what I seen. They seem black with a white band.

I don't think they're chinch bugs. The body and the head is shaped different, and they look like they hold their legs like leafhoppers......kind of under their body for hopping purposes.
Here's a different leafhopper nymph:
Same general shape and leg placement.

Mentioned this in a thread a week or two ago. Have these in a part of my st aug as well. Are they something I need to deal with or just let them be?
