I have a few fairly severe spots in my driveway where a section has cracked and is settling well below the remainder of the driveway. Would like to repair rather than break up and pour a new driveway. Has anyone used a company close to Baton Rouge to do this type of work where they raise the settled section.

Mine is 40+ years old and really should be completely replaced but I am not spending $30k on a fricking driveway so I'd love to repair it like what you're describing. I haven't gotten around to calling someone to give me a quote on it, mostly because I'm not convinced it's repairable or would last very long.

Not in Baton Rouge, but I just paid $8500 for some concrete work that included repairing a section of my driveway while also creating two additional parking pads for when my kids come to visit. They replaced the concrete walkway from the driveway to my front door and increased the size of the entryway so we can eventually put a portico over the front door and have a front porch.

They also ripped out my existing backdoor brick landing and replaced it with 3 extra wide concrete steps to accommodate putting a dog door through the exterior brick wall.

Call around your area and get some quotes. We had some pretty extensive work done and all 5 quotes we received were way cheaper than what we were anticipating.

I am not local, so I can’t recommend contractors, but I can vouch for the effectiveness of expanding foam for that application, it works marvelously well.

Call a concrete company, use their products and trucks, they will give you the names of 3-4 crews. Get bids. Done this many times.

Check to see if voids have formed due to washouts. If so, fix drainage first. Foam systems can fill the hole but erosion may still continue.
