Septic field is not the right term but I’m not sure what is.
I have a treatment plant that dispenses “gray water” onto my property. Right now the area is just grass but it just perpetually stays wet.

I’d like to plant beds or an area of plants/ flowers that liven up the area but also suck up the moisture so that my effluent wet area isn’t 80’ long.

What are your suggestions or better yet any of your pics with identification of plants for inspiration?

Do research on rain gardens or storm water pond plantings. State Extension Agencies usually have good beginners info.

Fill it full of swamp milkweed:

And other native flowers that grow in wet/damp conditions. You have a spot that could go from a nuisance to chocked full monarch butterflies and other pollinators.
