Securing flag pole holder to wood

I have a flag pole holder attached to a wooden beam outside my house. The win has caused it to start to pull out. Would self screwing heavy duty anchors work here? TIA

thru bolt it if you can get to the backside otherwise a lag screw will work

The anchors that came with the flag pole holder. .which was obviously a mistake. Honestly at this point I need out figure out how to repair the wood...frick
