Rusted washing machine hose

Try to take the old hoses off of the wall faucets to install my washing machine. One of the hoses are rusted up pretty good and I can break it free. I am scared that I will break the faucet and be in a real bind. Anyone have any secrets that they would like to share? I have tried wd-40 a few times. I guess I could just keep shooting it and letting it sit. Thanks.

Your could try PB Blaster I have had better success than with WD-40. Or you could clean the WD-40 off and try alittle heating and cooling if it is all metal to get it to expand and contract some. I am talking hair blow dryer to start not a torch but you might need to use the torch if nothing turns loose. Other than that good luck.

Odds are pretty high that the faucet won't completely shut off the water if you do get it loose. I would cut of the water at the main and go at it with the channel lock pliers after it's soaked a bit with the WD40 or PB Blaster.

Good. Now replace it with a new braided line.
