So my new house has a significantly smaller lawn than my old house and was looking into possibly getting a robotic mower, anyone have any reviews, any specific brand or features that recommend?

my neighbor has a Husqvarna robot mower. Thing cuts every other day. Has a nice cut when he keeps the blades up. The only thing that would bother me is it cuts like a roomba. No rhyme or reason half the time. It cuts all the grass, just not in any type of pattern. I'm not sure if you can set it to do that and he didn't or if it isnt possible.

from my research they are all like that. Im hesitant to go this route until the tech gets better specifically for that reason.

they have vacs that map the room and vacuum correctly. hopefully mowers will soon too

Only thing with robotic mowers they can’t cut when tall or wet. So there might be significant times where you’ll have to cut it yourself anyway.

I’d suggest just getting a battery powered mower. They’re light, quiet, and won’t take you too long. Could mow in the dark/cool if you wanted.

yea prolly just going to stay with good ole push mower. I have 3 kids and the older 2 are of the age now they need to learn to do it anyways.

i do just like the idea of having a perfect lawn pretty much everyday.

I had the prior model worx landroid that just crapped out after about 4 years (partially my fault). I really loved the thing. You are supposed to have them run every day. They do cut like a roomba, but if they run daily, the yard just always looks fresh cut. I had mine mow after dusk - it's so quiet nobody would ever know it was running. I have small kids and it was great for them to always have a maintained yard to play in, and it saved me lots of effort. You do still have to use a weedeater around the edges and mow occasionally. If it rains a bunch and yard stays wet but grows like crazy, you'll have to mow to let it catch up. The robot mowers aren't made to cut tall grass.

Happy to answer any other questions you have about it.

Again, I would cut the grass short the first time before using a robotic mower. They maintain lawns versus cutting them perfectly. They may cut here today and this area tommorrow. At the end of the day the grass stays maintained.

You do have to have an outlet outside to plug in the charging station.

Sold a few and seen where a company test all the brands.

You put wires in the ground or the dealer. That marks the boundary.
Have a few settings not much.
During usually at night as most people do not have pets and kids in the yard getting in the way it does it thing.
