Does anyone here have a robot lawnmower? I am about to move and was thinking of getting one, but I wasn't sure if they were reliable.

Two people down my street have one. They have no complaints from my conversations when them. They run all day and night outside of charging. Their yards look great since the grass is cut every day basically.
One thing my wife and I noticed.. One of them has a tiny dig out next to his cement walkway for a drain, and every few days we see it stuck there. We get a good chuckle out of it.

EPCOT tested those for years. I finally broke down and bought one ......then sat in the front yard on a lawn chair dewing a cool one. Neighbor came over and asked "What ya doing" "Mowing the lawn man"
Next thing I know, I've got ten men in the yard watching this machine cut grass. "Where did you get that? "Actually this is on loan from the Rep at EPCOT ......I get to try it for 90 days ......They were going to throw it away and I talked the Rep into a home field test on a 90 day trial .....(We were doing some consulting work at EPCOT.)
The prototype worked like a champ.

If I were to cut higher than 1.5”or my lawn was perfectly level and didn’t have various intricacies like around sidewalks, I’d be all for it.

absolutely and utterly no way one of these would work in my yard. it would end up in the lake and even if not it would have no clue how to get to the next area because my yard is segmented by gardens in about 15 different places not to mention my yard is a steep arse hill.

There's a guy with a massive house on a lake near me that has four or five robot mowers that are always running around his property cutting grass. It seems like they work pretty well, lawn always looks good and I've never seen one in the lake.

My Husqvarna 450XH EPOS has been a game changer for the 2.5 acres that I used to keep up. It took a while to work out some kinks-holes in the yard, transport paths, etc, but after about a month of adjustments it is pretty seamless. Changes blades about every couple of weeks (3 screws) and use air compressor to clean the underside and that's it. Does not mulch leaves very well so about once a month I still pull out my mower and clean those up.
