Repurposing Old Hard Wired Alarm System

Hi all. As the title states, I have an old hard wired alarm system in my home that I would like to repurpose. I do not see the use for me personally getting monthly monitoring with ADT/Vivent/etc.; I am located in a well lit and well populated area with subdivision surveillance, and the old system is apparently hooked up to a giant siren located at the front of the house if tripped.
I would like to go the DIY repurposing route for self-monitoring through a company such as Konnected.io. Any experience with these types of systems or companies would be appreciated.
Also, any recs for a camera/surveillance system? Same deal - self-monitored, DIY. Thanks
I've provided some photos of the current system below for reference. I was able to restore power to the box (see photos 1,2), but I have not received any response from the panel, even after replacing the battery cell.

Had the same system. I had just ripped everything out and patched all holes. I see no reason hardwiring anything these days.

2 options:
1) get a honeywell vista 20p + envisalink network module ~$150
2) go with Konnected.io. Konnected is good if you have smarthings, Home Assistant, or Hubitat already.
I have the honeywell panel with the envisalink. I have no issues. I can get text messages/emails when triggered or if network connection is lost.
As far as cameras, get the ~$50/each Amcrest cameras. They are the best cheap POE cameras.
Check out youtube videos put out by this guy. He does a ton of DIY stuff and reviewed a bunch of cameras and NVRs. Youtube channel

i second the konnected panels. I have them with some cheap fire tablets mounted for control. Some drawbacks, but nice solution with automation.
