Question about flooring in remodeled flood homes

So the right way is to gut the floors to the concrete to get the moisture out...
Is there a way to inspect a home to see if the floor was torn down that far as opposed to laying new tile over existing?
TIA

Pull up a corner if you suspect it.
Or detach a transition piece and see if you see layers. Measure the depth from the floor to the slab

Tile, laminate wood also in some areas.
I know the place flooded and was redone, I also know how hard it was to get certain types of floors up.
Not that I really suspect it, but I'd prefer to have something I could check myself b4 buying.
