Pre-emergent around citrus/fruit trees?

Does anyone use or know of a pre-emergent that is safe to use around citrus or fruit trees?
As in, you wouldn't be worried about it making the fruit less safe to eat or won't disrupt the growth of the tree.
I have 6 ft diameter circles of lawn removed and mulched around my trees, so I would not be putting the pre-emergent right next to the trunk if that matters.

Well beyond those circles is normal lawn, but when I have looked up using pre-emergents this past year, I often came across advice to stay 10ft away from the trunk.
So I have a gap between how close I got with pre-emergent and the start of the mulch. That gap is filled with weeds. I also don't want to spray my Celsius/Certainty mix that close to the trees.
I am assuming pre-emergents are safer to spread within this area versus spraying herbicide. Just planning ahead to try and improve that area of grass for next year.

I do it and do not see any negative results, nor would I expect any. I used dithiopyr (Dimension) but Prodiamine would be fine also. I also have no problem spraying a post-emergent non-selective herbicide like glyphosate. The mode action of those herbicides are such that they not uptaken by a citrus or fruit tree and translocated through out the plant.
Read the label on those products before you buy and use them, they are all on-line. If it’s a potential issue, it should be stated on the label.
